Fairfax uses ParentPay as its online payment system. It allows parents/carers to pay quickly and securely for school meals, trips and activities, music lessons and revision guides etc.
You simply top-up your ParentPay account online by debit or credit card. Your ParentPay balance can be used immediately to pay for any of items on your child’s account. Should you need login details, please contact Reception.

My Child at School (MCAS)
Fairfax Academy uses a computer information system called Bromcom. This system is supported by a portal for parents/carers called ‘My Child at School’ (MCAS).

Reporting Your Child Absent
As a parent you want your child to always be feeling their best for school and when they are not feeling very well it can be confusing to decide whether they should go to school or not.
The guide via the link below will help you understand what illnesses you should keep your child home from school for and what actions you should take so that your child feels better and communication with the school is effective.
All absences (Years 7-11) should be called through to the school on 0121 378 1288 Option 1 before 8:00am.
Sixth Form absences should be reported on 0121 378 1288 Option 5 before 8:00am

Permission to Administer Medicine
Where ever possible we encourage students to take their medication at home before the school day and on their return. Where this is not possible and you require your child to receive medication during the school day, please complete and return the form in the link below.

Free Accredited Courses on mental health, ASC, Counselling for parents and teachers
The AIM Group deliver Free online Level 2 Accredited Courses to Parents to help better understand some key issues around young people’s mental health and wellbeing, along with a range of other qualifications that may help with developing your own careers.
Here’s some of the most popular subjects available:
• Understanding Adverse Childhood Experiences (Most popular)
• Understanding Children and Young Peoples Mental Health
• Understanding Behaviour That Challenges
• Counselling Skills
• Understanding Specific Learning Difficulties
• Understanding Autism
• Bullying in children and young people
These are just the popular qualifications, but they have over 30 available.
The qualifications are completed online within a 12-week period in your own leisure. They are equivalent to a GCSE Grade C and certificated upon completion. You can do as many as you like, however you can just do one at a time.
The only criteria you must meet to be eligible, is:
Aged 19 or over on or before 31st August 2023
Have lived in the UK/EU for 3+ years
Not already on a Government funded course
