Answers to common questions at Fairfax Academy

Please contact the school on 0121 378 1288 option 1 and leave a voicemail message. On arrival your child will need to sign in at the Attendance Office.

Staff can be contacted if you telephone the school on 0121 378 1288 and a message will be sent to them. Alternatively, you could send in a letter for your child to give to their tutor in the morning.

You can either telephone the school on 0121 378 1288 to leave a message for the Assistant Head of Year or send in a letter outlining the details. You can also email us at Post@fairfax.fmat.co.uk . Please be aware that teachers may have a full teaching timetable on the day and may not be able to respond immediately. We operate a 48 hour response time for messages.

The tutor is the main point of contact in school regarding your child. Tutors have access to the whole picture regarding your child academically and pastorally.

The school now uses ‘Show My Homework’ for all years and you have access to this here.

During the year you will receive a set of WAGs (Working at Grades) and one full written report. There is also one Parents’ Evening a year for each year group with the opportunity to make appointments to speak to subject teachers.

Yes, you can top up your child’s lunchcard online via the ParentPay website.

Appointments should always be made out of school time so that learning is not disrupted. If this is unavoidable for some reason contact the attendance team on number 01212 378 1288 option 1.
