Mission Statement

The Creativity and Design Faculty aims to enable all young people to become resourceful, successful learners who enjoy learning and making progress, and who are confident individuals able to live safe, healthy and fulfilling lives in our advanced technological society. We provide creative and design experiences which will build self-esteem and develop problem solving, independence and team work skills as well as opportunities to celebrate achievement.

Child Development

Child Development is a vocational course set by OCR, and covers all aspects of child development and parental/carer responsibility, from conception to five years. At Fairfax, students will learn theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to create the best conditions for a child’s development and well-being.

Our vocational course in hospitality and catering aims to provide learners with the opportunity to develop a range of specialist and general skills that would support their progression to employment in the hospitality and catering industry.

This vocational course introduces students to the knowledge, understanding and skills that underpin study of the health and social care sector and gives learners an experience of the breadth and depth that will prepare them for further study in the health and care work sectors.
