How do I make contact with the school?
There may be times when you need to contact the school. The office is open between 8.15am and 4.30 pm Monday to Friday on number 0121 378 1288.

What if my child is sick?
Contact the school on 0121 378 1288 option 1 and leave a voicemail message.

What if I need to pass on an urgent message to my child?
Contact reception on 0121 378 1288.

What if my child is late?
Please contact the school on 0121 378 1288 option 1 and leave a voicemail message. On arrival your child will need to sign in at the Attendance Office.

How do I speak to a member of staff?
Staff can be contacted if you telephone the school on 0121 378 1288 and a message will be sent to them. Alternatively, you could send in a letter for your child to give to their tutor in the morning.

What if I am concerned about an incident?
You can either telephone the school on 0121 378 1288 to leave a message for the Assistant Head of Year or send in a letter outlining the details. Please be aware that teachers may have a full teaching timetable on the day and may not be able to respond immediately.

What is the role of the tutor?
The tutor is the main point of contact in school regarding your child. Tutors have access to the whole picture regarding your child academically and pastorally.

How can I help to monitor my child’s progress on a day to day basis?
The school now uses ‘Show My Homework’ for all years and you have access to this through the link in the sections: ‘Useful Links’ and in ‘Parent Information’

How often will I receive my child’s report?
During the year you will receive a set of WAGs (Working at Grades) and one full written report. There is also one Parents' Evening a year for each year group with the opportunity to make appointments to speak to subject teachers.

Can I top up my child’s lunchcard online?
Yes, you can top up your child’s lunchcard online via the ParentPay website.

My child has a dentist/doctors appointment, do I need to let the school know?
Appointments should always be made out of school time so that learning is not disrupted. If this is unavoidable for some reason contact the attendance team on number 01212 378 1288 option 1.
